Jury Members Reveal: "We Evaluate Films by Beard Density"

Exclusive interviews with this year's jury reveal unexpected evaluation criteria.

This year's jury chairman, documentarian Bjørn Håkansson, admits that the main evaluation criterion is the "beard index" - the ratio between visible beards on screen and film duration in minutes.

  • Category A: Above 2.3 beards per minute (Existential drama)

  • Category B: 1.1-2.2 beards per minute (Social documentary)

  • Category C: Below 1.0 beards per minute (Commercial production)

"A beard is not merely a collection of hair," explains jury member Prof. Astrid Nielson. "It's a metaphor for civilization, a reflection of epochs, a visualization of existential tragedy."

The jury also acknowledges that films featuring men pensively gazing at the sea for at least 14% of total runtime receive special consideration.
