Seeking VLC Expert with Minimum 12 Years Experience

The festival team has reached the limits of our capacity regarding VLC Media Player administration.

With deep regret, we announce that the festival organizers have reached a critical situation. Despite our rich experience in documentary film curation and Schopenhauer quotation, none of our 47 team members are capable of properly configuring VLC Media Player.

We URGENTLY seek a candidate with:

  • Minimum 12 years of VLC experience (with certificates)

  • Deep understanding of "Advanced Controls" functionality

  • Ability to use hotkeys without googling for help

  • Experience with exotic video codecs (ProRes, H.265, or even AVI)

  • Philosophical understanding of the colon dots in the VLC icon

Particularly crucial is expertise in subtitle synchronization. Our current solution of "manually adjusting until approximately correct timing" is insufficiently professional for an international festival.

Salary: €12/hour + unlimited coffee + opportunity to mention Tarkovsky in conversations with sponsors.

P.S. If anyone knows how to remove that "VLC Media Player" text at the bottom of videos, that would be especially appreciated.
